Men-taining Style with e11ven Collections

When you think of men's accessories, watches immediately come to mind. But recently, men have been taking the time out to expand their repertoire of accessories. The place to go to experience the 'beaded' side of life is e11ven Collections.

Recently, we had a chat with owner and director Darren Virtue about his men's collection. According to Virtue, the brand, which got off to a great start in 2013, has over time taken on a life of its own. "There has also been a huge demand from fashion-forward individuals overseas for the pieces, so we are constantly adding to our collection by introducing new gemstones, new styles, new charms. In a nutshell, we are always evolving, and it's gratifying to know that e11ven Collections is a choice (for shoppers) both locally and internationally."

Because e11ven Collections was created in memory of the founders' mother and father - who dedicated their lives to inspiring others through their words and actions - Virtue and his business partner decided to honour the date of their passing, February 11 and September 11, respectively, with the name e11ven and created the motto 'Jewellery with a Purpose', ensuring that the brand represents everything that their parents stood for.

For the male line in the collection, the most popular styles are made with onyx and tiger eyes. "To be honest, the entire men's collection has been well received," Virtue said. He noted that his male customers are always looking for that perfect piece to complement their watch or a particular look they are trying to achieve. "Men's trends have opened up in so many ways over the past few years that we see our customers asking for boldness, colour and, most of the time, double sets," he added.
