The Waves Nail Bar, situated in the rural town of Linstead, St Catherine, is deemed by residents to be the answer to total nail care.
The facility, which occupies Shop 19C Samms Mall, has been touching the lives of many since opening its door in December 2015.
"I am a regular customer here as I receive very good professional services. I am pampered while
having my nails done," said long-time patron Natasha Lindo.
Operator Samantha Smith said the business idea came to her after being trained in the United States of America and returning home to help uplift her country.
She said that having returned to Jamaica and having observed the need for the service, she decided to open the business.
"I also observed that there is also high unemployment, so I decided to employ persons with the required skill set to complement the business," Smith said. The business has being growing since, and the aim is to employ more persons in the near future.
"We do acrylic gel polish, acrylic nails, foot massage, pedicure and manicure with our professional team of nail technicians who serve with a difference," Smith said.
Those who enter Wave Nail Bar are given a glass of a cold beverage before their beauty treatment is administered.
"This is a way of bringing superior service at an affordable cost to customers in a comfortable environment," Yeshima Lindo, a nail technician, said.
The place is properly laid out into a relax setting with modern features.
The Bar is also the sole distributor of Dare to Wear nail products.
