All we want for Christmas, the new year and all the months in between is to never see Mariah Carey perform ever again. Before the ball dropped for a Happy New Year, the seasoned singer dropped the biggest ball of them all when she failed at lip syncing her own songs during her performance in Times Square. From saying "just walk me down" to her back-up dancers to saying the featured song wasn't rehearsed and lowering the mic when she should have been singing, the New Year's Eve slip-ups trended in the days that followed, sending Twitter into a frenzy. Then to add insult to serious injury, she took to Twitter offering an explanation by posting, "Sh*%

happens." Does this bode well for her and her reality show? Knowing America, it does!

 

Shore Thing for Denyque

 

Supergirl singing sensation Denyque rang in the New Year in a different light, officially tying the knot with her superman, Careem Mullings. Themed A Shore Thing, photos of the happily ever after went viral as they shared her beautiful dress, her bridesmaids, as well as herself and her husband sealing the deal with a kiss. Congrats to the Mullingses.

 

Breezy vs Soulja Boy

 

What is really going on between Breezy and Soulja Boy? The feud which apparently started over Breezy's ex, Karrueche Tran, spiraled into something much deeper, similar to a boxing match. Punches landing below the belt have bruised both their egos, and now 50 Cent has even stepped in to place a monetary bet - winner takes all. We do hope that for the sake of their fans that they squash this beef before we find ourselves watching them duke it out in the ring, with all proceeds going to charity, of course.

 

NICKI MINAJ IS SINGLE

 

Yes, many have been waiting for this relationship to end, and while it was a longer wait than expected, it ended. With a post on Twitter, Minaj stated that she is single. Well, she added that she is focusing on her career. I guess even getting on his knees is out the question.

 

KEKE TAKES MANY SEATS

 

Keke Palmer went on social media to speak about how sad it was that Chris Brown and Soulja Boy were feuding. She went on to say that it is even worse when "we" encourage it. Then the public went in because just the previous month she was going finger to finger on Twitter with reality star Mehgan James. She described her dislike for her after a follower asked who was her favourite 'Bad Girl'. Well, James, never the pushover, did give Palmer a response. And the Twitter war was on. Thus tweeters and instagrammers alike thought that Palmer was quite the hypocrite in her statements. I guess it was too soon for Palmer to be giving anyone a lesson on public beef.

Janet Jackson gave birth to a healthy baby boy. Thank God! We wish the new mother all the best. With age comes wisdom, so we are confident she will do a great job.
