Searching for vitamins and finding a bride. That's the love story of Khary and Jillian Brown.
It was a scene reminiscent of the Garden of Eden when Khary Brown of the Tourism Product Development Company and Jillian Robinson of Clinicare Rx exchanged wedding vows beneath the breadfruit tree at Brown's parents' home in Ironshore.
In fact, little did the groom's father, Captain Michael Brown, know that the trees planted in his banana walk would one day provide shade for a new daughter-in-law.
In a small but intimate affair, with family and friends witnessing their special day, Brown and Robinson tied the knot in the cool morning breeze. The groom resisted the urge to run from the sign held aloft by the page boy, Khristoph Malcolm, before reciting his heartfelt 'I Choose You' vows to his bride. The chords of Jah Cure's Unconditional Love greeted the guests as the solemn ceremony came to an end.
The reception continued the 'back to nature' theme with the tasteful touches of elegance provided by Tai Flora, the premier event management company in the country.
Brown met Robinson at the Clinicare Pharmacy while trying to find vitamins for a friend. He was taken aback by the intelligent natural hair beauty, and on his wedding day revealed in his vows, "She had intelligence, she spoke well and there was content. She was not only beautiful, but she had substance," Brown told the intimate gathering.
The two became friends and after three years began dating. On Robinson's birthday, January 15, 2017, Brown surprised her with a proposal on the beaches of Hyatt Zilara.
Enlisting the help of Sascha and Paulette Hossman of Tai Flora, personal friends, under candlelight he went down on his knees and proposed to his soulmate, who broke out in tears.
Yes, the sparks had been lit officially.
The couple began their honeymoon journey at the Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall, St James, before leaving on a Latin American cruise.
