All Natural With Annie's Essence

Providing a natural alternative to beauty and home decor is the sole aim of Christina McKaye-Williams, owner of Annie's Essence located in Runaway Bay, St Ann. The luxury home collection includes their luscious scented soy candles and soy wax melts that offer a completely breathtaking experience, as they are created to transport you to a world of relaxation and tranquility.
McKaye-Williams created Annie's Essence when she decided that she no longer wanted to be a part of corporate Jamaica. "I was a part of the working class employed at Appliances Traders Limited as a sales representative for almost eight years from which I resigned in 2017," explained Williams who later decided to join Sagicor Life Jamaica as a financial adviser.
While at Sagicor for a short period of time, she decided to resign because she was unhappy with her new job capacity. "That is when I made the big decision to operate my business on a full-time basis, so far the journey has been amazing," said Williams.
Annie's Essence creates handcrafted soy candles using all-natural soy wax, cotton wicks, and phthalate (toxin) free fragrances that burn clean, smell amazing, and are long-lasting. the line of candles is available in seven different fragrances - Peach Island, Coconut Mist, Grapefruit Bliss, Eucalyptus Mint, Wild Orange, Spiced Vanilla, and Sweet Amber.
Williams admits that her interest started with the creation of soy-scented candles which is safer for users and the environment. Soy candles are made from soy (vegetable) wax that is derived from soybeans, which is a 100% safer alternative to paraffin candles which are very unhealthy for us as well as our environment due to carcinogens and toxins.
Skincare Line
After a few years, a skincare line with an emphasis on Shea Butter was added to satisfy the need of persons who suffer from common skin issues such as dry skin, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, sensitive skin, blemishes, and more. The line is formulated using the best Oils, Butters, Plant extracts, natural essential oil blends and herbs.
Annie's Essence skincare products are locally made and are filled with vitamins and minerals offering an aromatherapy experience with every use. "Our skincare products are available in three wonderful scents which are Citrus Blossom, Vanilla Rose, and Coconut Cream. We offer body butters, body scrubs and natural soaps under the Luxury Shea Body Collection line all having Shea Butter as their key ingredient," she explained.
"Our skincare products are formulated to treat common skin issues such as dry skin, sensitive skin, cellulite, blemishes, acne among others. Our products are thoughtfully formulated for effectiveness," said Williams.
