PR guruTara Playfair-Scott has added a new notch on the business belt.

Last Tuesday, she officially opened the doors to CoWork JA at Liguanea Post Mall, in a jubilant celebration with friends, family and well-wishers.

It’s an entrepreneurial pursuit which she’s been wanting to execute for some time. And one which caused several persons to trek to the evening’s event from near and far, eagerly anticipating sharing in the ecstatic moment commemorating her relentless efforts.

CoWork JA is a cosy and alluring environment that puts a satisfying twist on the typical coffee lounge by offering a number of services. According to Playfair-Scott these simply aren’t available anywhere else under one roof in Kingston’s marketplace.

“There are other cowork spaces, but there is none like this. This is where you’ll create, connect and collaborate. I thought this through thoroughly to ensure that people will benefit not only from the space, but also from the amenities. For example, we have the best coffee,” an elated Playfair-Scott told her throng of supporters.

SOMETHING DIFFERENT

Entering the business realm with an open mind and a willingness to excel, Playfair-Scott tsought counsel and partnered with other organisations such as FLOW, Broken Plate, Likkle Teas, and Therapy to ensure that her vision would become a reality.

“Sometimes people may have an idea, but don’t act upon. it But that’s not me. I had to do it,” Playfair-Scott explained.

Now, it’s set and she believes that your experience at CoWork JA will be a one-of-a-kind encounter.

WORK AND PLAY

She emphasised that her aim was not to make CoWork JA revolve solely around work. Hard work and no play is never an option for the chirpy businesswoman. So, taking a break from the hustle and bustle of the tiring workday and relaxing in the intimate establishment, sipping a cocktail, tea or coffee ,and even enjoying a scrumptious lunch is always a possibility.

“We want our members to feel at home. So we have a lot of things in place for their benefit. For example, there is a mentorship programme, and a seminar in a few weeks,” she said.

While singing her own praises and thanking her network for its support, she noted that this initiative is one of her greatest accomplishments.

The go-getter assures all that her venture is, and will continue to be, a breeding ground for brilliant ideas and partnership opportunities.

The gorgeous space is exclusive to members and includes on-demand meeting rooms, private offices, soundproof areas perfect for skyping and other private affairs, a conference room, and a connectivity cube sponsored by Stewart’s Automotive.
