Despite being on wheels, new kid on the block Smoke House Jamaica has firmly planted its name in the three Corporate Area locations where one can find the eatery.

"We do smoked pork, chicken, sausages and just about any meat that can be smoked," cook Tevin Smith said.

And the savoury meats are served with servings of potato, festival, bread or rice.

To cool things down, the dishes are served with a Pepsi, Ting or Red Stripe for only $500, and according to supervisor Sherika Hamilton, it is "real value for money".

Proprietor Philip Pindler said the cart was built after he realising the need for smoked food as an option for consumers.

"We are trying to make a difference to customers, and as such, each day, the equivalent of a meal is placed in an account for needy students," Pindler said.

After being established for just a year, Pindler boasts of using only quality products to ensure he always gets the perfect taste.

Not limited to serving lunches, Smoke House Jamaica caters for parties, cookouts, weddings and other events.

They are currently serving from three locations - Municipal Boulevard in Portmore; Portmore Plaza; and Kingston Wharves - with a view to expand to 10.
