In April 2013, businesswoman Rose Blackman Wilson bought three lunches but did not eat them because she did not like the taste.

With that in mind, she decided to enter the food industry to give persons a better tasting experience.

"I could not eat any of the meals I bought and I decided to change that by opening a restaurant," Wilson told Food.

After finding the perfect venue, she came up with the name Nyammings Restaurant.

When Food recently visited the two-year-old restaurant, on the menu were tripe and beans, cow foot, fried chicken and stewed peas, plus a wide variety of seafood dishes and salads done to order.

"We have been satisfying the taste buds of many on a daily basis with freshly cooked meals, and as a result, our food is sought after by persons just wanting to taste good cooking," notes a proud Wilson.

Her words were echoed by customers at the restaurant. "I like how they cook here, the food is consistently good, especially the fried chicken and stewed peas. You don't miss home, it is good food," stated Iyana Lewis.

"It is a small establishment that fills big appetites on a daily basis, a tradition that we intend to continue," boasts Wilson.

He said that in addition to their daily operations, Nyammings cater for parties, weddings, birthdays, and other special occasions.
