PAN is known for its culinary extravaganza on the grill - from chicken to pork to sausage. This year, National Baking Company added a twist to how you can enjoy your regular sliced bread with your favourite cut of chicken or pork. Chef Christian Sweeney 'throw down' in spectacular fashion at PAN 2017 Regional 2 at Folly Oval in Portland to show the different ways to enjoy your hard dough bread.

As an end to their 'Thank You Tour', 160 National customers were invited to PAN 2017 Regional 2 and given the VIP treatment in the National booth. Sweeney, whose culinary skills know no bounds, satisfied their palates with an innovative selection.

For years, the National Baking Company has continued to provide customers and consumers with choices that fit their everyday life.

The items on the menu represented 'national pride', with a product that has been a part of our lives for decades. Customers were treated to stuffed jerk pan grilled cheese using Giant Weekender, cheesy jerked shrimp hard dough fries and Cheesy pulled pork hardough fries.

These items are simple and easy to execute at home, so today we share the recipes with you.

4 slices national hard dough bread

2 slices cheese of your choice

1tbs butter

1 clove garlic minced

1/4 tsp wet jerk seasoning

METHOD

1. Preheat gas grill to 300?F or in a coal grill, light coals and allow them to turn white.

2. Melt butter in a small pan, and sautÈ garlic in melted butter

3. Add jerk seasoning and whisk together until combined.

4. Make two sandwiches using bread slices and cheese. Then spread outside of each sandwich with a generous amount of jerk butter. Place on grill and compress sandwich, using a spatula.
