Food frenzy at RJRGLEANER’s Pop-Up Café
The RJRGLEANER Pop-Up Café promised foodies a tantalising food frenzy, and it delivered just that. Last Friday, patrons strolled out in their numbers to the Lyndhurst Road location, to dig into their share of some of the most exquisite-tasting meals, feasting in style to mark the end of the two-day event.
Caterer Jacqui Tyson and her team created an ambrosial atmosphere by serving big flavours like the Jacqui signature mango glazed pigtail, plantain rice and peas, Hellshire-style whole fish whether steamed or fried and the classic jerked chicken and pork.
Delectable offerings
The set up also boasted a live pasta station, that dished out plates of delectable Shrimp Alfredo, which, of course, was another scrumptious hit.
The mixture of flavours landed eagerly on taste buds and kept diners licking their fingers in anticipation of more. Furthermore, adventurous food lovers had the opportunity to build their own plate from a choice of three protein delicacies and any three sides.
Caribbean Producers (Jamaica) Limited, also made a toothsome mark on the palates of many, as scores of persons lined up to sample titbits of the CPJ naturally smoked picnic ham with hickory wood chips.
Pure Country Juices and the cafe’s drink station provided authentic thirst quenchers that ultimately soothed taste receptors.
