Sugabuzz Desserts, in partnership with Sweet Greetings, will host its first-ever showcase this Saturday. Dubbed A Taste of Art: the Exhibition, the black tie event will be held at Blank Space JA at the Trade Centre on Red Hills Road, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

It promises to entice cake lovers and is set to transform the concept of a conventional art exhibition into a delectable feast for the senses, where customised cakes and pastries will take centre stage.

The conception of A Taste of Art: The Exhibition stems from a profound desire to showcase the remarkable talents of Jamaican bakers and cake decorators, and celebrate their artistry, skill, and unwavering dedication.

“We believe in creating an environment that respects and appreciates these artisans for the artists they truly are,” said Suelan Chung-Evans, organiser, founder and CEO of Sugabuzz Desserts.

Ten esteemed exhibitors will enchant guests with their creativity and talent, presenting awe-inspiring Cake Art displays. Attendees will also indulge in complimentary hors d’oeuvres, wine, pastry bites, and live guest performances by singer Andre Shepherd and saxophonist Daniel John-Jackson.

Exhibitors include: Allison Balfour-Henry of Sweet Mischief Jamaica; Saleema Barclay, Le Macaron Pastries and Desserts; Laqueata Donaldson, Cakes by Queata; Hastings Fowler-Smith, Orange Peel Caterers; Rochelle Makyn, Suga Mama Cakes; Latoya Newell-Irving, Bowl N Batter; Jodi-Ann Paul, Jodicakes; Trudi-Ann Stephenson, Sweet Lady Cakes and Lola Williams, Lola’s Desserts.
