Wow! Talk about a workout! Talk about a full body, leave-you-soaking-in-sweat session that was so energised you could keep going all day!

Body By Kurt FitMix: Three-The-Hard-Way was just that and much more on Saturday at 23 Haining Road in New Kingston.

Fitness coach Kurt Dunn (donned in his '70s outfit) and his team took The Gleaner's Fit 4 Life team and guests through a series of get-that-body-moving workouts, which included dance aerobics, body sculpting, and good old '70s and '80s aerobics.

So energised was everyone from the 'vibesy' session that the fitness tests and challenges had more than enough takers from the full-house turnout.

In the Beep fitness test, Ratia Denise Henry and Marlene Weston came out the victors.

For the water challenge, where participants had to clock the quickest time to carry three cases of water from sponsors, Wata, twice across the room, the ladies showed what they were made of. Nicole Lewis won in 38 seconds, Arlette Robinson came second in 49 seconds, and Trecia McGowan placed third in a time of 52 seconds.

Ahon Gray won the burpees challenge, while Rohan Phillips placed second in the men's category. Alecia Kerr took it home for the women.

Prizes for winners

Challenge winners earned prizes such as gift basket from sponsors Foska Oats and Blue Diamond Almond Milk, Active fitness band from Asafa Powell, Fit 4 Life T-shirts, and Gleaner-branded merchandise.

Thanks to sponsors Wata for keeping everyone hydrated, and Foska Oats and Blue Diamond Almond Milk for the nutritious and delicious powershakes.

Participants also got handouts with nutrition tips courtesy of Fit 4 Life.

Big-up to Kurt Dunn and the Body By Kurt team, and everyone who came out for a great workout to get their Saturday going.
