Fit 4 Life | Sweet movements from the energy kings
It neva normal Saturday morning, as the Sweet Energy Fitness Club worked The Gleaner's Fit 4 Life participants to a frazzle. Wow! Just wow!
Fitness coaches Robert 'Astro' Whyte and #livewire MC Sheena-Kay and the Sweet Energy team had an intense boot camp lined up for the scores of fitness enthusiasts who came out to the Jessie Ripoll Primary School in St Andrew.
High energy warm-up led straight into the boot camp circuit - water bottle squat, shuttle between cones, burpees, reverse jumping jacks, sit ups, mountain climb, stick jumping jacks, ammo squats and tyre lift.
Everyone was sweating buckets just halfway into the circuits.
And at the end of it, there was still more.
The challenges.
Four teams - Fire Side, Raging King, Whip It, and Sue Dem - put on their game face for the three challenges - battle rope, tyre flip and shuttle run.
Raging King won the shuttle run, Fire Side won the battle rope, and Whip It took home the prize in the tyre flip.
Team members earned prizes such as World Cup Football Finals Breakfast for two at Oasis on the Oxford; gift baskets from sponsor Chas E. Ramson; gift baskets from GraceKennedy; one month membership with the TrainFit Club; Fit 4 Life gift bags, T-shirts, and water bottles.
Everyone enjoyed power shakes made with Foska Oats and Blue Diamond Almond Milk.
This was the fourth event in Season 2 of The Gleaner's Fit 4 Life Tuff Enuff Challenge.
Week Five takes place on Saturday, July 21, with the TrainFit Club at the In Motion Gym at Shortwood Teachers College, 77 Shortwood Road, St Andrew.
