Haughton’s Pharmacy to launch medication management system
Prime Minister Andrew Holness will deliver the keynote address at the formal launch by Haughton’s Pharmacy of its technology-based RxPak Prescription Medication Management System tomorrow.
The Mandeville-based, multi-generational family pharmacy business, now in its 104th year of continuous operation, received an Innovation Grant from the Development Bank of Jamaica under the BIGEE Programme.
By introducing its RxPak mobile app and RxPLUS digital wallet, Haughton’s Pharmacy will offer customers the ability to upload prescriptions, request refills, as well as top up their digital wallet conveniently, securely, and quickly. Customers can also buy over-the-counter items and select delivery options. The global aspect of the RxPak app allows persons in the diaspora to pay for the prescribed medication needs for relatives who live in Jamaica.
Francine Haughton Adam, spokesperson for Haughton’s Pharmacy, pointed out that the RxPak is designed to conform to the monthly requirements for effective and efficient adherence to customers’ prescription dosage.
