UPDATE: Man succumbs after gun attack at Kingston Public Hospital

Twenty-eight-year-old Dwayne Scott, the man shot and injured at the Kingston Public Hospital this afternoon, has succumbed.

He died earlier this evening despite feverish attempts by doctors to save him.

Scott, who was the victim of a gun attack on July 7, was shot around 2 o'clock this afternoon while leaving the Kingston Public Hospital.

He had gone to the hospital to visit his girlfriend who was also shot in the July 7 attack.

Witnesses say when Scott was confronted by the gunman this afternoon, he attempted to run, but was impeded because of his previous injuries.

Witnesses say he was soon cornered by the gunman and shot several times.

The gunman then ran in the direction of a nearby church.
