The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) yesterday arrested and charged a member of the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) in relation to the shooting injury of a teenager in April in Spanish Town, St Catherine.

Private Ravaughn Scott was charged with wounding with intent.

He was brought before Resident Magistrate Natalee Brooks in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court, where he was offered bail in the sum of $250,000.

He is to surrender his travel documents, and a stop order has been placed on him at all of Jamaica's ports.

Scott is to return to court on March 15 next year.

It is alleged that the teenager was shot during a joint military operation on the Oxford Road, Railway Premises.
