'We need the help of the police'

Camille 'Sandy' Coke is saddened by the ongoing bloodletting in her community of west Kingston and she believes that God has spoken to her about seeking the help of the police to bring an end to the violence there.
"If I could get the police to host a gospel concert in the community, it would be a good opportunity to share my testimony with them. I would love to talk to them about the violence. I know they would listen to me. Only God can deal with this problem," said Coke.
She seems to have grabbed the attention of the police. At least one member of the High Command has expressed an interest in facilitating the gospel concert.
"I will be approaching her," the high-ranking officer assured.
URGENT PRAYERS
The mounting tension in west Kingston prompted a group of policemen on foot patrol to walk into a Seventh-day Adventist Church one Saturday morning, recently, and requested urgent prayers. They said they were seeking divine intervention to tackle the horrifying situation.
Camille Coke said she holds regular family devotions, during which she summons her brother, Leighton 'Livity' Coke, her nephews and other male relatives, to worship and give God praise.
"If their names have been called in any wrongdoing, it is a moment that is used to rebuke them in the name of Jesus Christ and tell them what the scripture says, how God is going to deal with the wicked. I warned them that if they are doing that which is ungodly, they must stop it now. When I am finished; I don't see some of them for days," said Coke.
