US embassy closed Monday, Tuesday

Due to the anticipated effects of Hurricane Matthew on Jamaica, the United States Embassy in Kingston will be closed for routine consular services on Monday, October 3 and Tuesday, October 4, 2016. Visa interviews will not be conducted and routine American citizen services appointments will not be kept on the days specified.

Individuals who had non-immigrant visa interview appointments scheduled for these days can reschedule their appointments by visiting the appointment scheduling website at ais.usvisa-info.com/en-jm/niv.

Those applicants who had immigrant visa appointments scheduled for those days will be contacted by the consular section to be informed of their new appointment date.
