A two-year-old boy and his seven-year-old sibling narrowly escaped death yesterday after the vehicle in which they were being transported by their father was sprayed with bullets along Mountain View Avenue in St Andrew.

According to the police, their father was not so lucky. He was reportedly shot in the chest and hand. Up to press time, his condition could not be ascertained.

Investigators say an Antiguan man was also in the black Range Rover and that it was his first visit to the island. He was unharmed.

“Him say him nah come back a Jamaica,” one investigator recounted.

The police report that the driver of the luxury sports utility vehicle was returning from the airport when a car pulled up behind him, metres from the Mountain View Police Station.

The police say the occupants of the car pulled guns and fired off as many as 11 rounds before escaping.
