$3,000 sex deal gone bad! - Woman allegedly stabs man to death

Whether the police were in breach of Jamaica Constabulary Force regulations in St Ann yesterday when a man who they were in the process of searching was pounced upon and allegedly stabbed to death by a woman is being investigated. It happened after a sex deal had gone bad.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Wray Palmer said that a probe into the matter was absolutely necessary to determine exactly what happened.
The woman, whose name is being withheld, is now in custody after reportedly killing the man she claimed she sold sex to, but who brandished a knife afterwards, demanding his money back. She called the police, and as they conducted a search of the man, it is alleged that she used a knife to stab him.
He is yet to be identified.
"This is something I would have to check because the woman was not a suspect or anything. (Whether) she sneaked up on him, I don't know if that is what happened," Palmer told The Gleaner.
The incident, which was confirmed by the Constabulary Communications Unit, happened in an area popularly known as 'Truck Stop' in Runaway Bay, St Ann. The police said that the woman reported that she and the man had engaged in a sexual transaction at a cost of $3,000. According to the police report, she claimed that at the end of their transaction, the man brandished a knife and took back the money.
"While the police was in the process of effecting a search on the now deceased, the accused woman used a knife to stab ... (him) in the upper left section of his back," read a section of the report.
The injured man was taken to the St Ann's Bay Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
