Twenty-seven-year-old Trinidad and Tobago national Sanju Maharaj and 19-year-old Jamaican Leonardo Madden, both charged with the murder of 13-year-old Shanoya Wray, are scheduled to return to court tomorrow.

The teen's partially decomposed body was found inside an apartment on Whalley Close in Mona, St Andrew, last month.

The police had been called to the home after a neighbour, concerned about Maharaj's strange behaviour and a lingering odour, peered through a window and saw the body inside.

The lawmen subsequently found Madden in the home and Wray's body in the bathtub.

There was also evidence that led detectives to believe that a corrosive substance was poured over the body in an attempt to get rid of the remains.

Maharaj, a teacher, is currently before the court on a sexual assault charge with Wray as the complainant.
