"I was six years old and living in Palmers Cross, Clarendon at the time. I remembered a mango trees right beside the house swaying and looking as if they would fall.

"The house was surrounded by mango trees and it was half finished so my mother got scared and told us to go under the bed to lie down," said Jenneivah Henrieques

"After a while I remembered her calling us to come and look what the hurricane is like.

I will never forget looking in wonder as the trees swayed until they almost touched the ground, zinc flying about and the heavy rain," added Henrieques.

She said after the rain subsided members of the family went outside and joined others who were collecting chicken that had been blown out of their coop.

"Honestly I was more excited than scared and to this day the thought of a hurricane doesn't scare me," declared Henrieques
