'The Riff' comes to Music 99 FM

Veteran broadcaster and musicologist Dermott Hussey has joined the team at Music 99 FM. Hussey, known for his extensive knowledge of all musical genres, brings to the table more than 50 years of experience, which he will no doubt use to great advantage as he hosts The Riff, every Friday from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m., and the Sunday Riff from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. The show started yesterday.

According Dennis Howard, general manager for Radio Services, RJRGLEANER Communications Group, "Dermott is one of my musical mentors, and so it was a no-brainer to bring him on board to enhance the musical offerings of Music 99 FM with The Riff."

Hussey, who will be conferred with the Order of Distinction on National Heroes Day, October 15, is expected to not only help raise the musical bar, but also provide for listeners interesting, historical perspectives and information on the music on offer in The Riff.
