Mother of 10-y-o murdered at St Thomas home

The 10-year-old St Theresa Prep School student, who witnessed the murder of her mother yesterday morning, is to receive counselling. The child is currently in the care of a relative.

Forty-six-year-old sales representative Nadine Brown of Edward Road in Retreat, St Thomas, was opening the grille to her carport at approximately 6 a.m. when she was pounced upon by a gunman who opened fire, hitting her several times.

Brown was about to leave home to take her daughter to school.

The police say that the gunman was dressed in an orange and grey striped shirt.

They also say five 9-milli-metre spent casings were found.
