Hanover woman succumbs in US three months after being set ablaze
Nicola Clarke, the woman who was set ablaze allegedly by her jealous boyfriend in Great River, Hanover, on May 19 this year, has died.
Clarke passed away approximately 5:20 p.m. Sunday at the JMS Burn Center at the Doctors Hospital of Augusta in Atlanta, Georgia.
Robert Whyte, director of the Sanmerna Foundation and managing director for Sanmerna Paper Products, said that his team had tried everything to save Clarke.
It was reported that about 4:30 p.m. on May 19, Clarke, who operated a car wash and bar, got involved in a dispute with her boyfriend.
He then allegedly set her and the building on fire.
The man was later taken into custody.
He had turned up at a hospital in Hanover seeking medical treatment for burns he also received during the attack.
