Shane Munroe, chief executive officer of MBJ Airports Limited, is now beaming with pride as the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, St James, which falls under his management, has, for the 16th consecutive year, copped the prestigious World Travel Award for being the Caribbean’s Leading Airport.

“We are immensely proud to receive this award, which reflects the hard work and dedication of the entire airport team,” Munroe said.

“It reinforces our commitment to excellence as we continuously strive to enhance the passenger experience through our ongoing initiatives and upcoming projects.”

The prestigious World Travel Awards recognises, rewards and celebrates distinction across all key sectors of the travel, tourism, and hospitality industries and is renowned globally as the ultimate hallmark of industry excellence.

Winners are determined through a rigorous process, including input from industry professionals and travellers worldwide.

While the Sangster International Airport was winning the coveted award for the 16th consecutive year, it was no less pleasing for Sharon Hislop-Holt, manager of commercial, business development and marketing at MBJ Airports Limited.

“We are dedicated to continuously raising the bar in airport service and operations,” said Hislop-Holt.

“This award inspires us to keep striving for excellence and to deliver superior service to our airport users.”
