It’s still surreal that Jamaica’s most successful women’s sprint hurdler is only now making it to the Olympics.

But two-time world champion Danielle Williams will finally have a chance to perform on the biggest stage, chasing Jamaica’s first Olympic title in the event.

Williams has quietly built an excellent career, highlighted by world titles in 2015 and again last year in Budapest, where she powered from lane one to surpass Brigitte Foster-Hylton in major titles won.

Williams has become known as a big-occasion performer and is always a threat for major titles.

An Olympic crown would further cement her legacy as the best Jamaican women’s sprint hurdler the country has ever produced.
