I'd rather party with Satan
THE EDITOR, Sir:
Great article! That's my reaction to Michael Abrahams' online column, titled 'To hell with hell', published Monday, October 22, 2018.
I once told an Adventist that I don't want to go to Heaven because it sounds really boring. I told him I want to go party with Satan in Hell.
Fanatics really don't have a sense of humour. He ended by telling me that Hell, for me, will be worse since I was born in the church and knew what was right.
I really appreciate Dr Abrahams' boldness in rejecting some of these traditional beliefs. The responses that I have got from so-called Christians have been unbelievably unkind, for the most part.
I don't consider myself an atheist, but I noticed that both religous people and atheists chose to label me as such. I don't think that in our lifetime we will know enough about the universe, and how we got here, to make the conclusions that theists and atheists have made.
