Off the mark on Phillips, PNP

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I refer to Gordon Robinson’s column titled ‘PNP leadership no-deal Eggxit’ in The Gleaner dated September 10, 2019. I could not finish reading his contribution because he has missed the main factor that all well-thinking Jamaicans are concerned about. Is Dr Peter Phillips a viable contender for prime minister? Will the people of Jamaica ever rally around him to help put him in Jamaica House?

Gordon Robinson seems to be caught up with ‘I told you so’ and egg in Peter Bunting’s face. This is hogwash and immaturity on his part. Your time would have been better spent analysing the result and accepting that the People’s National Party needs to do some major work to become a viable and fully functional political party again.Total nonsense, Mr Robinson!

I support neither the PNP or the Jamaica Labour Party but I have voted for both. I need good options because I have the power as a voter to change things. The PNP is not an option at this time and the JLP has been disappointing, so I have no one for whom to cast a vote.
