Massive public education campaign for dengue
THE EDITOR, Madam:
A massive public education campaign is a possible solution to the dengue crisis. The following could be the most important lessons learnt from this:-
1 All parents must be taught fever-reduction methods and monitoring a rising fever with the use of a thermometer.
2 All of this first-aid activity must be on the way to the hospital.
3 Ensure good nutrition for your children to build the immune system to ward off infection.
4 Our medical teams know best, and children must be treated for the complications of fever, especially in the case of children who are asthmatic.
5 Mosquito bites could also be a cause of allergic reactions, and thus, emergency resuscitation could be necessary.
6 The deep study of insect life and the various modern mutations must be thoroughly investigated.
7 Parents must make every effort to own independent safe housing to raise their families.
8 Public education must be in the heart of school zones. Every school must be visited by a health team before the end of the term. The children are sitting major examinations, and with the knowledge we provide to them regarding self-care, we will be amazed at how swiftly they will apply the intelligence.
