WI cricket team, we need better results

THE EDITOR, Madam:

The recent T20 cricket game between the West Indies and South Africa did not end on a happy note for us as West Indians. The Caribbean side started out good, but by the middle of the game, they lost focus. They have to work on this to be successful in future events.

The management has a lot more work to do in order for the players to understand that the Caribbean depends on them, in events like this, to be victorious, so that we can show that we are the best in the world.

Just turn back the hands of time and look where West Indies cricket is coming from, compared to where it is now. We have to do better. Where are those former players of the glory days to give assistance and training to this present team? We need them to step up to the plate.

Let us recapture the legacy of winning, where the rest of world will be afraid to face of us in any international game.
