JUTC to maintain service until further advised

Published:Wednesday | July 3, 2024 | 12:09 AM

THE EDITOR, Madam:

The Jamaica Urban Transit Company Limited (JUTC) wishes to advise that commuters can expect to receive service throughout the Kingston Metropolitan Transit Region (KMTR), providing it remains safe to do so, as the island braces for the impact of Hurricane Beryl.

The JUTC will continue to provide service in line with instructions received from the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM) and also provide support to evacuation requests received through the municipal corporations where possible.

The agency will also ensure smooth resumption of services where same is disrupted.

Commuters are being reassured that the JUTC continues to place their safety as priority and will make the necessary adjustments to ensure minimal disruption is experienced.

For updates, commuters are encouraged to follow official JUTC information channels, including its Instagram page and local news media. They can also make contact via WhatsApp (876) 570-1789 or 1-888-588-2287.
