British Caribbean Insurance Company (BCIC) used a live outside broadcast on Mello FM hosted by ‘Barry G’ at their New Kingston branch on Knutsford Boulevard recently, to provide some very important news you can use to current and prospective customers.

Relating to issues everyone can relate to, they spoke of the products they offer such as: renter’s insurance, amber connect discount, easy pay option and ‘no fault discount’.

1. In the event of a fire or break in, the landlord’s policy will only cover repairs for the physical structure, Renter’s insurance covers loss or damage to personal belongings. Damages caused by the tenant to the space they occupy as well as another tenant’s space, will be their responsibility to repair, covered by Personal Liability coverage. In the case of alternative accommodation expenses (if the space cannot be occupied due to repairs, the coverage will take care of expenses for rent or to temporarily store furniture).

2. BCIC has also partnered with Amber Connect, to provide costumers with a 10 per cent discount on their insurance if they have the device installed in their car.  The insurance company has also introduced an easy pay option, allowing up to 100 per cent financing of the annual cost available, with payment terms ranging from 4-9 months. The easy pay option does not require a credit card and allows for monthly payments.
