A chance encounter turns into happily ever after for the Rowes

It was a typical day of running errands for Sashanna Ingram when she bumped into Jermaine Rowe. Caught by surprise, that experience stands as proof that you never know where love might find you. Sashanna and Jermaine’s chance encounter resulted in the two going on to live happily ever after as Mrs and Mrs Rowe.

“Jermaine made the first move, but I was reluctant to give him my number, so I told him, ‘Fate will allow us to cross paths again,’” Sashanna told Island Wedding.

Those fateful last words went from her lips to God’s ears. But Jermaine could not just sit and let love pass him by. He was determined to get to know Sashanna better, so he improvised, finding other innovative ways of reaching out to her.

Pursuing with purpose, the man on a mission found his queen on Messenger; that way, they would be able to stay in touch. On their first official date in Montego Bay, Jermaine saw a side of Sashanna that he instantly loved. He recalled her having reservations about making the long journey. She had never driven that far on her own, he shared. But after giving her the right encouragement and support, she made the trip and found the meeting spot.

“When I saw Sashanna approaching Sangster’s roundabout, I felt so proud and loved to know that she conquered her fear of going to an unfamiliar location with such diligence and pride. It showed how much of a smart, brave and adventurous partner she can be, someone who will go the extra mile with me for the continuous success of our union,” he revealed. For her, those valiant efforts were mutual, and eventually, she saw herself falling in love with him.

With an aura so beautiful and a personality so amazing, Sashanna, he explains, grows on you deeply and emotionally, making it easy to love her. “She always puts a smile on my face, and she never procrastinates. She’s a planner, very organised in everything she does. She’s trustworthy, smart and brave, and nurtured our relationship through her strong communication skills, planning skills, and the level of emotional support she provides. She is the apple of my eye, my sugar and spice and everything nice,” he declared.

Genuine, loving, caring, and selfless, Jermaine continues to wow his darling with a love so passionate it resonates with her soul, leaving her with no choice but to reciprocate in kind. “He is a man of purpose, with deep desires and good intentions, and will stop at nothing to maintain that effort throughout our union. The ‘let’s talk this over’, ‘what’s the best way forward’ type of partner. He is effective, honest and pure in giving advice and resolutions throughout our union. I can safely say that he is the wind beneath my wings,” she said.

The mutual connection created an unbreakable bond, manifesting their hearts’ desires while achieving a high level of peace and contentment they both yearned for. When the time was right, Jermaine asked Sashanna’s parents for their daughter’s hands in marriage.

“Without hesitation, they gave their blessings through a family prayer, where we held hands and prayed together. It was right before my eyes that very same day, he went on his knees and asked me to be his wife. He said more, but I was so lost in disbelief that I couldn’t recall his exact wording,” Sashanna reflected.

Unable to find the words, she gesticulated positively and was greeted by a gorgeous engagement ring. With tear-filled eyes, Jermaine hugged his fiancée and whispered, “Thank you for accepting me as your husband-to-be.”

The engaged couple went with Michelle Levene-Phillips from The Wedding Planner Plus to bring the vision for the wedding to life. Sashanna argued that she was the best decision they could have made. All the bride-to-be did was give her the colour scheme and show up to the wedding. Michelle handled everything.

After a difficult search, Sashanna chose the dress of her dreams from LuxBride Ja. “I went everywhere and couldn’t find my dress. Someone told me about Luxbrides Ja, so I made contact. Samantha made this process so seamless and easy. I was by no means disappointed, as the dress fitted perfectly. It matched my personality [and] my theme; I was in awe and teary when I said yes to my dress.

On December 11, 2021, Sashanne and Jermaine were joined in holy matrimony, officially becoming the Rowes. The Hibiscus Lodge Hotel, Ocho Rios, provided the idyllic backdrop for garden romance. The bride stunned her guests as well as her groom with a breathtaking ivory crystal- and pearl-detailed ruffle mermaid gown. As he waited, suited in a tan tuxedo, Jermaine welcomed his stunning wife with open arms and a loving heart.

The duo exchanged vows in waves of blush, rose pink, rose gold, white and gold; performed a sand ceremony; and, of course, shared an enchanting kiss after saying, “I do.” These nuptial activities prepared them for the magical moment of sharing their first dance as husband and wife.

Lost in the moment, the pair slow-danced to the popular RnB track, I Believe in You by Joe. “Those words were perfect for our union, as we will always believe in each other. No one can ever take our place, nor replace the love and compassion we have for each other,” Sashanna added.
