The Jamaica National Group has rolled out its annual Power of Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign for the fifth year, under the theme, ‘Take the Steps’.

The launch event, dubbed the JN Group Power of Pink Pop-Up Session was held last week outside the JN Bank Half Way Tree Branch. The event saw performances from recording artistes Etana, Dr Carlene Davis and Papito Ferguson. The activities surrounding the campaign are expected to educate and raise awareness about the steps that can be taken to detect breast cancer as early as possible.

The STEPS as outlined in the campaign are:

Take the Steps …Feel yourself (conduct a self-examination)

Take the Steps … Get Checked (do your mammogram as recommended)

Take the Steps … Be Grateful (self-care), and finally

Take the Steps … Give Back (donate to cancer research)

Here’s a Something Extra look at the event.
