Makers of More Summit solving the world's challenges

LONDON, England:
Some 350 participants from around the world gathered in The Oval Space in London, England, to hear five brilliant minds tell their stories of initiatives they have spearheaded to make a difference to their communities.
They are: Ken Banks from the United Kingdom, Tevis Howard from Africa, Pamela Chong from Singapore, Nadya Fadila Saib from Indonesia, and attorney Joan Webley from Jamaica. The Makers of More Summit is held in partnership with Ashoka and the Arthur Guinness Projects, and brings together social entrepreneurs, leading experts and changemakers who will inspire each other and develop concrete solutions to solve the world's most pressing social and environmental challenges. Previous recipients of awards from the Arthur Guinness Projects were also present to offer meaningful assistance.
Over some six hours, the participants made their presentations, then broke into workshops geared at solving particular challenges faced by the social entrepreneurs, or turning ideas into concrete projects. They also brainstormed innovative ways to develop their ideas, followed by networking opportunities.
