The scene of a fatal accident in Clarendon this morning which has left a media worker dead.

A fatal accident in Clarendon this morning has left a media worker dead and a woman nursing injuries at hospital.

The victim has been identified as 35-year-old Barrington Campbell of an August Town address.

According to the police, shortly after 11 a.m. Campbell and a female passenger were travelling toward Toll Gate from May Pen when he failed to keep left.

The blue Mitsubishi Lancer he was driving collided with a truck and then ran into a motorcar which was parked along the roadway.

Campbell was pronounced dead on arrival at the May Pen Hospital.

The female passenger is still undergoing treatment.

Her injuries are not considered serious.

Campbell was employed to News Talk 93 FM as Assistant Technical Director of News.

This morning's accident is the second fatal crash to occur in the area. 

On February 23, Rexon Haffenden was decapitated when the bucket of a tractor collided with his truck.
