Teacher on four counts of murder to stand trial June 1

A St Catherine teacher who has been charged with four counts of murder is to stand trial on June 1.
The date was set when she and her two co-accused appeared this morning in the Home Circuit Court in downtown Kingston.
The teacher, who is 39-year-old Francine Douglas-Miller was charged in 2009.
Along with the four counts of murder, she has also been charged with accessory before the fact, accessory after the fact, wounding with intent and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.
Two other persons, Don Leslie Harley and Vlabert Harley are also on similar charges.
The charges arose from an incident on July 1, 2009, at the Live Wire Entertainment Complex, formerly La Roose, on Port Henderson Road in Portmore, St Catherine.
It is alleged that two vehicles drove on to the premises and men alighted, shot and killed 35-year-old Ricardo 'Bully' Thomas, his brother 34-year-old Kirk Thomas, Andrew Walker otherwise called Mampi Zeeks, and David 'Biggs' Wisdom, all of Kingston addresses.
