UWI Faculty of Law to host symposium

THE FACULTY of Law at the University of the West Indies, Mona campus is to host its inaugural symposium on law, governance and society at the Hyatt Ziva, Rose Hall, Montego Bay beginning today through to Sunday.
The theme for the symposium is 'Law and Governance in the 21st Century' and will focus on institutional, corporate and social governance.
According to Dr Shazeeda Ali, deputy dean of the Faculty of Law for Graduate Studies and External Affairs, UWI, Mona, the symposium will include panel discussions by local, regional and international legal experts presenting on topics relating to constitutional law, public sector governance, financial services regulation, international trade, corruption, children, gender as well as environmental matters.
