Three killed in St Catherine
The simmering tension in sections of St Catherine exploded before dawn yesterday as gunmen struck in the Compound area of Central Village, leaving three persons dead.
They were identified as 24-year-old Dillon Williams, his child's mother Nakino Francis, and Markino Williams, who was said to have been visiting the couple. Up to press time, it was not clear if Markino was related to either of the other victims.
The couple's six-month-old baby, who was in the house at the time of the shooting, was spared by the killers and found unharmed by neighbours.
Residents say about 2:30 yesterday morning, explosions were heard and the cops summoned. Upon arrival, the police found the three bodies - all with bullet wounds to the head.
According to residents, the area has been tense for some time, with threats being issued by members of warring factions.
