St Catherine truck driver charged for illegal gun, ammo

St Catherine truck driver, Nigel Ramdaran, is to appear in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate’s Court on June 23, to answer to firearm related charges.
Ramdaran is charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.
The police say he was accosted during an operation yesterday in the Mount Royal Estate area of Bridgeport in St Catherine.
Reports from the Bridgeport Police are that a search was conducted of the man’s premises and a pistol along with a magazine containing five rounds of ammunition were seized.
The police say he was arrested and charged.
