Overseas nationals to benefit from TAJ services at Diaspora Conference in MoBay
Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) is to provide a number of fast-track services to overseas nationals at the upcoming sixth Biennial Diaspora Conference.
The event, scheduled for June 13-18 at the Montego Bay Convention Centre in St James, is expected to attract close to 2,000 participants.
Communications Officer at the TAJ, Leighton Beckles, says this will be the third occasion that the TAJ will be participating in the Diaspora Conference as a means of strengthening the services provided to overseas Jamaicans.
He notes that property tax services will also be available at the conference.
He says individuals will be able to get a printout of their seven-year status on their property taxes.
They’ll also be given special assistance to pay their property taxes online as well as to query their property taxes.
Persons will also be able to apply for their Taxpayer Registration Number (TRN) and access stamp duty and transfer tax services.
