$840,000 goes to GSAT Bursary Award
Forty two students who were placed in high schools based on the results of the 2015 GSAT bursary will receive a total of $840,000 this year to assist in their back-to-school preparation. They were chosen based on need and academic achievement.
Thirty-four of the students are youth savers at credit unions across the island and the rest were identified by churches and other organisations as needing assistance.
Each bursary is valued at $20,000.
The Jamaica Cooperative Credit Union League (JCCUL), in its role of administering the Credit Unions of Jamaica (CUJ) brand, has been assisting credit unions in sponsoring GSAT awardees for nine years as the movement continues to spread the message of advancement through education, hard work and dedication.
JCCUL congratulates all 2015 GSAT awardees and encourages them to do well.
