Delinquent NWC customers have three days left to take up amnesty offer

The National Water Commission (NWC) is reminding delinquent customers they have only three more days within which to take advantage of a 60 per cent write-off of their debts.

The so-called Cruncher 180 Promotion allows customers in arrears to the Commission for 180 days to settle by paying only 40 per cent of their outstanding balances.

The NWC says the promotion is aimed at active and disconnected water accounts as well as illegally connected water consumers.

However, there is to be a second and third leg of the promotion, which will feature write-offs of 50 per cent and 40 per cent for the months of August and September.
