New water schedule for sections of St Catherine

The National Water Commission (NWC) says it has been forced to introduce a new water supply schedule for sections of St Catherine because of problems at its Angels number one Well in the parish.

The NWC says communities served by the Well will receive water daily between 5 a.m and midday and again from 5 p.m. to 10 o'clock at nights.

The agency says the new restrictions take effect immediately and will continue until Wednesday, September 30.

Communities to be affected are Angels Estate Phases 1 and 2, Angels Grove, Dam Head, Angels Vista and Angels Arcadia.

Meanwhile, the NWC is reporting that turbidity is affecting its Endeavour Pumping station in St James.

It says this has resulted in a disruption of service to some communities including Mount Horeb, Fern, Rushea, Plum, Barnett Bush, Camrose, Hampton and Hopeton.
