The kidnapping trial of former policeman, Alpheus Wade enters its third week in the Home Circuit Court downtown Kingston today.

Wade is charged with the June 2011 kidnapping of businessman Marc Frankson.

The Crown has been presenting its case and it's expected that it will finish this week.

Last Friday, Detective Inspector Colin Campbell testified that the police recovered marked money from the motor vehicle belonging to the ex-cop which was reportedly used in the kidnapping case of Frankson.

In a police caution statement presented last Tuesday Wade confessed that he was involved in the kidnapping of the businessman.

The accused indicated that he was contacted by two men who told him that they had kidnapped Frankson.

However, he said he told them not to harm the businessman.

Frankson was rescued unharmed 16 hours after being taken.

His captors had demanded US$500,000 for his release.
