Gun seized in Greater Portmore, two in custody

Two men are now in custody in relation to the seizure of a .38 pistol by the St Catherine South Police in 3 West Greater Portmore, St Catherine today.

Reports are that between 5:45 a.m. and 7 a.m. a group of police were on operation in the area, when a premises was searched and the firearm discovered.

The identities of the men taken into custody are being withheld pending further investigations.

The police say the operation was an initiative under the ‘Get the Guns Campaign’.
