Two charged for sextuple murder in Hanover

Detectives attached to the Area One Major Investigations Taskforce (MIT) have charged two men in connection with the October 8 murder of six people and the injuring of four others at Campbelton, March Town in Hanover.

The men were charged today.

They have been identified as 48-year-old Errol Clarke,   otherwise called ‘Scarcher’ of Green Island in the parish, and 24-year-old Mikhail Campbell otherwise called ‘Troy’ of Mountain Side, March Town also in the parish.

Both men have been charged jointly with six counts of murder, six counts of conspiracy to commit murder, four counts of attempted murder, arson and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.

They were charged following a question-and-answer session in the presence of their attorney and are scheduled to appear before the Lucea Resident Magistrate’s Court next Tuesday.

Police have also asked that a man known only as ‘Wingie’, who frequents Green Island and Negril, report to the Lucea Police immediately, as the police believe he may also be able to assist with the investigations.
