FLOW to give OUR outages policy update today
Telecommunication company FLOW is today expected to provide the Office of Utilities Regulation (OUR) with details of its policy for handling prolonged system outages.
The OUR made to request at a meeting last week Friday.
The utility regulator had called FLOW to a meeting following what the OUR said was an uptick in the number of customer complaints it received about the company's service.
The OUR says FLOW has blamed the theft and vandalism of its cables and other facilities for the problems affecting service quality to its customers.
The utility regulator has asked FLOW to outline the number of complaints received between January and September this year, and the location of service outages, causes, and the number and extent of customers impacted.
The OUR further says it wants to know what steps have been taken by FLOW since January to address customer concerns and what plans it has to address existing outages.
