St James security guard Kemar Scott has been charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.
The police say the 23-year-old man was charged after being held with a gun and several rounds of ammunition.
Scott is scheduled to appear in the Montego Bay Gun Court on Wednesday, November 4.
Reports from the Anchovy Police are that about 10 o’clock on Tuesday night a team of police was on patrol along the Richmond Hill main road in the Bickersteth area, when three men were seen acting in a suspicious manner.
The men were accosted, searched and a revolver and five cartridges were reportedly seized from the Scott.
